What is Cost Analysis?
Cost Analysis is RoomEnhance's AI-powered feature that transforms your room designs into actionable shopping lists. When you generate a room transformation, the AI identifies furniture, decor, and fixtures in your design and finds real products from major retailers with actual pricing.

How to Start a Cost Analysis
Step 1: Create or Upload an Image
Navigate to the Dashboard or Ideation Studio and upload a room photo or generate a new design.
Step 2: Go to Your Gallery
Open the Gallery from the sidebar and select the room image you want to analyze.
Step 3: Start Cost Analysis
On the image detail page, find the "Cost Analysis" tab and click "Start New Cost Estimation." The AI will analyze your image and identify products within 30-60 seconds.
Credit Cost: 1 credit per cost analysis
Understanding the Tabs
The Cost Estimations page at /cost-estimations has three main tabs:
All Estimations Tab
View all your past cost analyses in a grid layout. Each card shows:
- Room thumbnail image
- Room type label
- Estimated total cost
- Number of items identified
- Date created
- Status badge (completed/pending)
Click "View Details" to see the full breakdown.
Discovered Products Tab
Browse all products found across your cost analyses. Products are organized by room type and show:
- Product image
- Name and price
- Star rating (when available)
- Category badge
- Retailer name
- Priority level (high/medium/low)
Click "Buy Direct" to purchase from the retailer, or "Find Similar" to search for alternatives.
Favorites Tab
Access products you've saved for later. Click the heart icon on any product to add it to your favorites collection.
Working with Products
Filtering and Search
Use the search bar at the top to filter across all tabs. Search by:
- Product name
- Category
- Retailer
- Price range
- Priority level
Grid View Options
Click the grid icon to toggle between 2, 3, or 4 column layouts depending on your screen size.
Product Details
Each product card includes:
- Product image
- Name and current price
- Star ratings from reviews
- Room type origin
- Description excerpt
- Action buttons
Saving Favorites
Adding to Favorites
- Find a product you like in the Discovered Products tab
- Click the heart icon in the top corner
- The product is saved to your Favorites tab
Managing Favorites
- View all favorites in the Favorites tab
- Click the heart again to remove from favorites
- Use favorites to build your shopping list
Exporting Your List
From the cost estimation detail page, you can:
- View the complete breakdown
- See total estimated costs
- Access direct links to all products
