Compose Mode: Precise Furniture Placement

Master Compose Mode to precisely place, replace, or remove furniture items in your room photos.

What is Compose Mode?

Compose Mode gives you surgical precision over your room edits. Instead of transforming the entire room, you "paint" over specific areas to:

  • Replace a single piece of furniture
  • Add new items to empty spaces
  • Remove unwanted objects
  • Change colors or materials

Using the Brush Tool

Basic Controls

  1. Brush Size: Adjust for precision or speed
  2. Paint: Click and drag over areas to edit
  3. Erase: Remove accidental brush strokes
  4. Clear: Start over with the original image

Best Practices

  • Paint slightly larger than the item
  • Include shadows for natural results
  • Overlap edges for seamless blending

Writing Effective Prompts

Your prompt tells the AI what to add:

Good Prompts:

  • "A modern gray velvet sectional sofa"
  • "A tall fiddle leaf fig plant in a white ceramic pot"
  • "A minimalist oak coffee table with metal legs"

Less Effective:

  • "A sofa" (too vague)
  • "Something nice" (too vague)
  • "Replace everything" (use Visualize instead)
